Water Saving with Acqua Vision rain sensor

What happens when the daily watering of my garden is scheduled for tonight but in the late afternoon a thunderstorm breaks out?

The Acqua Vision rain sensor stops the irrigation cycle when a rain event is forecast. When the Acqua Vision rain sensor is installed you will not waste a single drop of water! Equipped with hygroscopic discs which swell up with rainwater and have an absorption capacity similar to that of soil, it has also been developed to deactivate a planned irrigation cycle following rain, thus avoiding wasting water saving you money.. This works as the discs of the sensor will remain wet and saturated thus simulating the moisture state of the soil, which will therefore not need any additional water supply due to the rainy weather.

To operate, it uses the Bluetooth 5.0 connection through which it sends a signal to the Controller to stop the irrigation cycle. It is therefore important to place Acqua Vision outside in the garden, taking care that there are no major obstacles between the two devices, e.g. thick walls, which can block the Bluetooth signal. At the same time, while it is designed to absorb water, it must not be installed directly in the Valve box or under shelter, such as a canopy or a terrace. It must be placed where it will absorb the rain.

• Indoors or under covered areas such as canopies.
• Too far away from the Vision Controller
• In the Valve box
• On the trajectory of the sprinkler water jet

Like the other battery-powered Vision devices, Acqua Vision is equipped with rechargeable batteries. A recharge can last up to a couple of years, depending on usage, but we recommend recharging the lithium batteries via the supplied USB cable at the start of each new irrigation season.
